Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

About the story:
This is a cute ABC book by Bill Martin, Jr.  And John Archambault.  The 26 characters in this rhythmic, rhyming ABC book are a lowercase alphabet with a funky attitude. "A told b, and b told c, 'I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree'"-- there is also a tape that goes with this story that has a variety of sing-songy renditions.

We have lots of alphabet crafts on the site.  You can look through them and find a few favorites to go with the book.  I won't re-list them all here.

In this section I've chosen to include an idea that incorporates the entire alphabet (and a coconut tree!).

"I thought I'd share my modified version of chicka chicka boom boom.  I used the template for the coconut tree and had it blown up poster size and laminated.  Then used the alphabet letters and colored and laminated them to.  Put velcro on the back of the letters and up the tree.  Now we've got an interactive prop for the book."
