A Mid Summer Night's Fairies' Story: Word Searches
Contributed by
Print out the word search puzzle with words from Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Night's Dream, told from the fairies' perspective -- you have a choice between an easy word search for younger children and a more challenging word search for older kids and adults.
Encourage the children to find and circle the words listed. I think word searches are a great way to expand and practice vocabulary words and reinforce themes you are studying.
Materials:
- printer,
- paper,
- pencil
Instructions:
- As you look for the hidden words from the Shakespeare play, remember that they can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal—frontward or backward.
- Children who are very new to spelling and vocabulary should be encouraged to try the lower case word search as it includes the letters they're more likely to be familiar with.
Templates:
- Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
- Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
