HELP FOR PRINTING OUR CUSTOM MINI-BOOKS
We knew that creating a custom mini-book
that would work for all our viewers would be impossible. With all the
combinations of printers and browsers out there it is just not possible to make
them work correctly for everyone.
If you have tried printing one of our custom mini-books without success please take a look at some of our suggestions below. You could also try printing them from another computer or installing and using a different browser on your computer. If these suggestions do not solve the problem then I am afraid that the custom mini-books are not going to work for you. Sorry...
PRINT MARGINS
You need to reduce your print margins to at least .25 inches all around for
these mini-books to print on a single page. Some printers require about a
1/2 inch margin at the bottom but will allow you to reduce your top margins to
zero (or very close) which will still work. Here are some specific
instructions for some browsers.
INTERNET
EXPLORER:
Before printing any pages choose FILE then PAGE SETUP from the browser menu.
Type "0" (zero) in all four boxes for the margins. The browser may automatically
adjust the margins to their minimums based on your printer. After clicking "OK"
to close the Print Setup you should be able to print the templates.
(fingers crossed!)
NETSCAPE 4.78:
Before printing any pages choose FILE then PAGE SETUP from the browser menu.
Type "0" (zero) in all four boxes for the margins and click "OK". After that you
should be able to print the templates.
COLOR border ON COVER PAGE
Some browsers will not print the color border on the custom mini-book cover
pages. The only option in this case is to try printing the cover page
using another browser if you have a second one installed on your computer or if
you have access to a second computer.
Netscape 6 (and 4.78) will print the colored borders on the cover if you choose
