I found this story to be a good choice when teaching a science unit on how animals protect themselves. Examples of animals you can study and crafts you can make for this are:
- skunk (spray),
- chameleon (change color),
- porcupine (quills),
- bird (flight),
- octopus (ink cloud),
- zebra (herds),
- turtle (shell),
- rhinoceros (horn),
- tiger (claws/teeth)
These are just a few examples to get you started!
