American Writer Artie Knapp was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, in 1973.  Knapp is a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and graduated from Ohio University.  He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife, Priya.

His children's book, Little Otter Learns to Swim, is about a young otter who learns how to play in his natural habitat with the help and encouragement of his mother.
