IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE

MEMORY ACTIVITY

• Print out the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" template of the mouse for each child.
   
• Flip through the pages of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" before reading them the story.  This allows the kids to "read" the pictures and guess what's happening.  It's amazing how much more they remember is you do this
   
• Read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" aloud
   
• Hand out the template and have the children write down all the things the mouse asked for 
  (Younger children:  ask the children to draw pictures of all the things they remember the mouse asking for).
